I have recently begun learning to ride motorcycles. On the weekend of the 8-9 of February, I was undertaking the Stay Upright Rider Training Course, and preparing to buy my first bike - a Kawasaki ZZR250. On the Saturday after my first day of training, I went to the CMC to purchase my riding gear.
At this point, it is important to note that although I had clear specifications of what I wanted, and minimum standards, I had very little knowledge of the attributes or qualities of the available gear. I am, as it were, a newbie to the whole riding scene, and perhaps quite out of my depth.
In the showroom, I was shown the riding gear, and a salesperson named Clint came to assist me. Clint's service was exceptional, and precicely what I needed at the time. He was enthusiastic, but also very serious. He actually listened to what I had to say, and truly tried to meet my needs, while also giving me all the time I needed. I never felt pressured, but instead felt understood. In the end, I walked out with a full compliment of high quality riding gear, within my budget, and a deeper understanding of the various aspects of the gear - I was confident with my purchases and hadn't felt the need to compromise.
I myself have had a fairly long career focussed in customer service, and I was highly impressed with Clint's service that day. Clint ought to be congratulated on his efforts, and I thank him personally for assisting me to such a high calibre.
See you out there Clint!
